How Long Does It Take?

If it is your organization’s first time preparing for a CARF® Accreditation survey, you will generally need anywhere between 9 months to 1 year before the survey is performed. However, if you are preparing for a resurvey, 6 to 8 months will likely be enough. When you are ready, a survey application must be submitted online at least 3 months before the survey is set to take place.
